Leonid Purygin (1951-1995) was a Russian artist. He was born in Narofominsk and attended the All Russia Institute of Folk Art. He was an associate of Oscar Rabin and participated in underground exhibitions with him in the early 1970s. Most of his artwork is centered around mythology, magic, and European folklore.
